Summers are around the corner and this is that time of the year where our wardrobes are practically begging for an update. So I decided what better way to help you to kick start your spring/summer fashion game than giving you a brief about fashion trends that are going to be big in 2018.
Now that the Fashion month is over, I’ve brought to you the coolest and most wearable trends that you can add to your shopping list today!! I gathered up this information by studying the runway trends of spring/summer 2018 and also by researching online about which trends are hitting the shelves right now. Here is the list of top 10 fresh and happening trends for you to check out so you never get out of style.
1. Pastels(especially Lavender)
This is one trend that you cannot ignore this season. While pastel trend have been there for a while but one color that stood out the most this time is Lavender. It is the Pantone color of the year and the spring season is the perfect time to incorporate lavender into our wardrobes.

2. Raffia Straw bag
This trend hit the market last summer and fashionistas around every corner of the globe can’t get enough of it. It has got such a cool, beachy kind of a vibe to it and can completely transform your overall look. If you are going for an effortless look, you’ve got to have this in your collection.

3. Clear Plastic
This trend started back in 2017 with the clear see-through shoe which I think has had it’s moment but this season it’s all about accessories like hats and bags. Talking about wearable fashion, these are much more comfortable to carry than a pair of clear plastic shoes and look classy and chic at the same time.

4. Thin Sunglasses
The matrix inspired thin sunglasses are clearly one of the hottest trend this year. Celebrities like Kendall, Gigi, Bella, Selena all are seen sporting these vintage micro shades in their street style. It’s a great way to add a cool factor in your basic outfit to amp it up into an interesting one.

If you like boho fashion as much as I do, then this trend is something to add to your wardrobe ASAP. Apparently the fringe trend is not just limited to Coachella now, but has hit the street style grounds this season and it’s fancier than ever.

6. Belt bag
This, in my opinion is the most practical of all trends. Belt bags are basically micro bags that can be worn around your waist much like fannypacks but just more polished, high fashion and prettier. Along with looking cute, the fact that your hands are free while all your stuff is sitting safely close to your body makes it even more convenient.

7. Measured Sheer
This trend is anything but basic and that’s the beauty of it as it can make you look sexy and classy at the same time. Most women opt out of wearing sheer because of their fear of showing too much skin. But if styled wisely it can look as stylish or as casual as you want.

The spring/summer fashion shows were bombarded with sequins this season. If you thought that all your sparkles were fit for just the festive season, think again. From shoes to dresses to trousers to blazers to accessories, sequins are everywhere for the spring.

Plaid or checks were super on trend this fall in blazers, shirts, pants etc. We can see it sticking around in the spring and evolving in more of a gingham print in the form of cute dresses, crop tops, skirts and shorts which is more spring and summer appropriate.

10. Bike shorts
This athleisure trend from the 90’s was reintroduced by Kim Kardashian West when she was seen incorporating bike shorts into her killer off-duty looks last year. Well, turns out it’s a thing now and designers, models, fellow celebrities have made it into one of the biggest trends of 2018.
